Joe Bronstein achieved a first class honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, specialising in Applied Mathematics and Quantum Mechanics, and went on to complete the Masters course at the Royal Academy of Music with Distinction.
Joe has a busy freelance career involving solo, chamber and orchestral work. He is the violist of the Aurora Trio together with Emma Halnan (flute) and Heather Wrighton (harp). The trio have held two prestigious Chamber Music Fellowships at the Royal Academy of Music for the academic years 2014-15 and 2015-16, and work across the UK and abroad.
His orchestral portfolio includes work with the BBC Concert, BBC Philharmonic, Halle, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras and Welsh National Opera.
He plays a fine modern viola by James Stephenson.
